Welcome

Welcome to the web site for Sound Treasures, a company specializing in visual translations of sound in almost every form of classical music: symphonies, concertos, opera arias, art songs, chamber music and solo pieces. Our paintings present music through art and story in a way that attracts people.  Our work can be used to promote concerts, events and CD’s and may also be used as a therapeutic tool.

Sound Treasures CEO, Marina Pinto  Miller Ph.D., is an artist who enjoys the gift of color hearing, (a form of synaesthesia).  Her art has been profiled in an award-winning CBC short film and she has also been invited to showcase her work at the London-based Charles Saatchi Gallery online. Some have found Marina’s  pieces  to  be reminiscent of the style, depth  and feeling  associated  with the work of artists Gustav Klimt, Vincent Van Gogh and William Blake.

Marina paints music of every era, from medieval right up to contemporary.  Her portfolio includes pieces inspired by composers as diverse as Monteverdi, Dowland, Purcell, Bach, Handel, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Dvorak, Mahler and such modern musical geniuses as Bobby McFerrin, among others.

All works are translations of the essence of each piece on of music onto the page. Each picture is unique, highly collectible and reflects the energy of the performance on which it is based and the person or company who buys or commissions the painting.

All of the art presently exhibited in the Painting Gallery are available for sale as giclee prints.  For further information on pricing, commissioned work and licensing, as well as the availability of works in the Colour In Fusion Gallery, please contact Sound Treasures directly through this web site.

"My art captures the essence of energies held in sound so that they may be absorbed for healing, integration and growth.  Each work reflects and contains the optimum sound and color frequencies specific to the purpose for which the painting is created and  unique to the person or organization that has commissioned it."  Marina Pinto Miller
